|I like to hope I'm not the only one who is just terrible at summing up their entire self in one little blurb. Here's some things I am. I'm a Lolita. I'm a nerd. I'm a feminist. I'm a writer. I'm studying graphic design. I love music, theater, fantasy and sci-fi. Looking through this blog thing here will tell you a lot of what I like, actually. You should do that instead of reading this, because down there there are probably funny things and maybe a cat or something.|
Day 11: One day in your lolita life in pictures.
I assumed this meant pictures OF your day. Oops. But I went through all the work already!
So today is a school day, so I woke up at 8 and just kinda messed around for a bit. Mostly messing around with the camera. Here is my outfit for the day. Sweet/Casual.
Yes, a casual blouse. Honestly, I don’t have many loli blouses, only two. One short sleeve, one long sleeve, and I already wore the short-sleeve one yesterday. It was hot out, so I needed a short-sleeve… I don’t see a problem with wearing a casual blouse as long is it doesn’t bring down the coord, and with the necklace and hand of the king pin, I think a loli blouse may have even made it a little too busy (and of course, I wouldn’t put the pin into a pricy lolita blouse!!
I throw on the blouse but not the rest while I do my hair and makeups.
Once I have coverup I dare to show my face.
I didn’t have much time because I was super-tired and slept in a bit longer than I should have, so I just curled the ends of my hair.
Finished I looked like this:
And here’s a picture of me holding a stuffed animal because that’s just what Lolitas DO.
I drove to school, which was fun, but obviously no pictures of that because that would be mighty dangerous.
Once at school, I was taking some pictures to document a little pet-project of mine for the day.
I was caught right in the middle of it, though!! A teacher spotted me and asked if I wanted her to take the pictures. I’m really shy so I just said no thank you, even though it probably would have been very convient. She complimented my outfit, and then had me come into her class to show all of the other students. They were really really nice and loved it! Mostly medical students, so older and all-female if I remember correctly. It was really sweet! I wish I had taken pictures, but I had left my camera in the hallway cause I’m a goober who doesn’t think of these things until afterwords.
After that I sat in class for a bit, and at first I thought ‘no pictures, these students are already pretty weirded out by me’. But then I remembered webcam! Sneaky ways to take photos of yourself in-class without having your camera out!
Then I took my camera out anyway to be a silly billy.
And after class I went to the BBQ my school holds opening week. It was pretty interesting, but I didn’t know anyone there so it was also a little awkward.
A lot of people stopped and told me they liked my clothes! One person asked if she could have some of the pictures I was taking for the school magazine, so I felt like I was doing something a little less creepy. There was a mechanical bull AND a rock wall, but I didn’t do either for obvious reasons.
I wasn’t too hungry, but you don’t get free food very often. The line of the hamburgers was pretty short, but the line for the condiments was MASSIVE… So I just got cookies. Because hamburgers without ketchup is just sad.
After cookies, I continued my secret project.
And my ‘secret project’ was this.
Honestly I was having lots of fun, but I stick out like a sore thumb in loli so I had to do a lot of footwork to get from one location to another without people noticing me. I was worried people might think they were some sort of threat or something. Hopefully at least a few people in the school have played Slender. I forgot to take a picture of one, I suppose! Oops!
I saw this really neat car!
After that I was tired, so I had to grab some soda (I would tell you the brand but honestly this particular brand has a really sexist commercial and I wouldn’t have bought it if I had had the choice of any other soda I like), and sat down to wait for my boyfriend to pick me up.
I read comics, mostly. Freshened makeup. You know, girly things to waste an hour.
My boyfriend picked me up. When I asked him to take a picture he was all sad because he said if he’d known I were doing a project like this, he would have worn nicer clothes. He just got out of work so he was only in his undershirt from that.
We stopped to eat. We actually went ‘out’ just two days ago so we didn’t do anything special. Went to the mall, I got Sushi, he got chicken tenders. There was a girl at the sushi place who recognized me from PortCon and we talked a bit. I totally forgot AniMaine was tomorrow! It was a major bummer, because I really wanted to go, but after all of the trouble with money from school and rent and books, I’m completely tapped out. I didn’t ask to have a picture with her, but here is the back of her head.
I got spicy shrimp tempora, my favorite.
After that we went to the bookstore. I read a really good Batman comic that was written by one of my favorite authors. It was great, and I wanted to buy it, but same excuse as above, money. Cj read it, too. Here he is reading it.
I did nab this book off the discount rack, though.
Finally, we came home and I had to go to work, so the lolita came off.
So that was my lolita day! Longest, most boring post ever? Probably!
